Last night we began watching The Illusionist, but the disc was skipping quite a bit so we decided to switch movies. Next option: Knight and Day. Oh Tom Cruise, it's really hard to take you seriously. Final consensus among Brooke, Liz, Anna, and myself: one of the strangest movies ever. It was debatable as to whether they intentionally made some of the part bad to be funny or if it really was that bad. To begin, about 10 minutes into the movie, Tom Cruise claims that the FBI is going to call him crazy when they capture Cameron Diaz... well hate to break it to you TC- your character is crazy. He successfully comes off as someone who is not only somewhat creepy and strange, but also has this unrealistic ability to balance on top of a swerving, speeding sedan driving through a Boston tunnel. Also, why did you shoot Rodney?? That was a bit unnecessary, even though it was only in the leg. He's a nice guy, so that might have been dramatic. I personally found the movie somewhat entertaining, but really it was just because of some of the worst lines I have heard in a long time. Such as "wow, you've got skills." Add a "homeslice" for the icing on the cake Tom. And who taught you to fly a commercial airplane? Oh it's a Scientology thing? Nope that's still questionable. Speaking of Scientology- there is a Church of Scientology near the Hotel Rouge in Washington DC, which is where we normally stay. It's by Dupont Circle. Either way, whenever my mother and I see people going in or coming out, they are always older men that look like the Monopoly man that seem strangely cheery. Must be one heck of a service... ending with pass go and collect $200. Back to Knight and Day- funniest line: "I'm uhh just looking for ice..." if you see the movie you'll understand but otherwise it looks pretty lame. Oh wait, the movie was.

Update on the Nerf attack: Fail for now. Next time there will be a foam thing loaded to go, Erin. love you :)
On to a more important topic: music. Maybe I should just make a weekly list of music that should be listened to. Yes, every Saturday. So if it's on the list, you should probably go listen to it. That was conceded- my apologies, but really. I'll make it easy, too, by putting the music in a link.
For the week of March 20th-March 26th 2011
Get your party shoes on:
1. Backseat- New Boyz (feat The Cataracs & DEV)
2. Top of the World- The Cataracs feat DEV
3. Till the World Ends- it's britney bitch
4. ET (Noisa Dubstep Remix)- Katy Perry
5. All Night Long- Alexandra Burke (feat Pitbull)
^unavailable in the US for some reason...
6. Bass Down Low (Proper Villians Remix)- The Cataracs feat DEV (better than the orig in my opinion)
Alt:

2. 99 Problems- Hugo
If you haven't heard of Hugo, that's too bad, but it's okay because now you have. I actually heard him in DHall the other day, which just blew my mind. But he's a new sign for Epic Records and his music is sexy, so get some. These are the two that have been released. Yes, that is a Jay-Z cover. Continuing on...
3. Beautiful Girl- William Fitzsimmons (Free Download of the week? Yes. Hurry and get it before Tuesday)
4. Open Up/ Land Down Under- Dispatch (oldie but a goodie)
5. Young Blood- Naked and Famous
6. Islands- the xx
7. Crystalized- the xx
Okay gotta stop... late to go to Ashley's to get dress. Ski semi-formal tonight with Leonard :) ... so it's probably better I didn't go out last night. 5:30 early start? Let's go. Happy Saturday!
To end with a lyric:
"Cause i'm feelin lucky, and I'm feelin lean.
Keeps me hungry, keeps me mean.
I'm sharp like a blade, and cold like a knife."
