i think i was blind before i met you

Today I picked up Future Roommate Anna in the most entertaining attire. Wearing Lee's shirt (so almost a dress) and a cross-body bag and soffees and boat shoes, I roll up to Rockingham in Ricky's van with a bowl of Easy Mac and leaning back since he's a good 5 inches taller than me. Foot barely reached the pedals but I always feel bad changing people's seats around. Haven't done anything today but that's really okay since there isn't anything due this week or any tests.

Last night was the semi-formal for tennis! It went really well! That was exciting since I put a lot of effort into it. Yesterday around 12, things were put in motion. It was great. I knew it was coming, which was why the boredom on Thursday was just killing me. So once things got going, it was great. Unfortunately, I was left with only about an hour to get ready... but it all worked out wonderfully. Got to Taste of Thai (and that whole ordeal is a completely different story, not worth telling though. Just a lot of phone calls) around 630 (whoops... the rezzies were at 615) and we had a marathon dinner. Meaning that it was just a really long dinner. Actually it was only about 2 hours but for some reason it felt so much longer... not in a bad way, just really long. Got the satay chicken... love that peanut sauce. Then ate Liz's left over pad thai as the 2 am snack... nom nom nom! Boy-Jamie was hilarious at dinner. He had had been at the bars all day downtown because of the MacRock Festival that had been going on (radio festival). We were attempting to remember the actor's name from Inception (no, not Leonardo DiCaprio). The one who was also in 500 Days of Summer. In an attempt to say that he was also in 10 Things I Hate About You, he formed 10 Days I Forgot About You. Yes, Jamie... you nailed it, well done. When we asked for to-go boxes from our waiter, he brought us about 30 Chinese take out boxes and 30 pairs of chop-sticks. Hmm okay, well thank you for being helpful, though.

After dinner we went back to Tank87 (Lee and Gabe's apartment for those who don't know) and Gabriel and I created a 4 hour playlist in about 20 minutes and then we traveled on over to Stonegate. We had some time to kill before the party so we stopped by Ben's apartment... which was hilariously a hazard-zone. Ben said they hadn't cleaned in about a month and it was quite apparent. Lee said it looked like a frat house with all the beer, food, and gaming supplies scattered around and Ben said they actually had deemed it a new frat: Delta Iota Kappa... aka DIK. Classic. The kitchen was a joke... picture -->

At the actual party, it was all successful. Everyone there was on the team (plus dates) which was nice because a lot of time there is a large amount of random people and while it didn't get huge, it did get to a good size. Luckily we registered the party beforehand so that they would call if we got a noise complaint instead of just sending an officer over. Unfortunately, we did get a noise complaint around 1230/1 am so we had to end things around then. Or at least get people to quiet down, but most people left. Is it bad that I was a bit okay with that? Meh, oh well. I had been going non-stop since like 12 that afternoon! So finally made it back to Tank87 and ate a bit and then went to bed fairly soon there after since Lee had to get up at 9 (yikesss...) to do a lab. All and all though, a grand night.

When we finally got up this morning (eehh around 1? awesome.) we turned on ESPN and there was the final for the High School Basketball. Oak Hill was playing and I knew that sounded familiar but couldn't figure out why. I then realized it when the announcer said something about
a player named Hornsby. Keith was on the TV! On ESPN! Williamsburg is EVERYWHERE. It's a bit scary! Ah well, cheers to it being a small world...

Watching VCU play Butler now. It's insane that they're in the Final Four. Let's go Virginia Schools. Two up, two down... all day!
